Dr. Nate Charney is a native of Napa, California, spending much of his adult life during undergraduate and professional studies in southern California. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physiological Sciences at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2015. He then received his Doctorate of Optometry degree with honors from the Southern California College of Optometry. Dr. Charney completed his externship training at the University Eye Centers at Ketchum Health in Los Angeles and Orange County, Pearl Harbor Naval Medical Center in Honolulu, Wellish Vision Institute in Las Vegas, and Hoopes Vision Center in Salt Lake City.
Dr. Charney enjoys helping his patients see and feel better, with examinations including glasses and contact lens evaluations, management of ocular disease, and co-management of ocular surgeries like cataract extraction and LASIK. Dr. Charney started wearing glasses and contacts at a young age and likes using his experiences to offer the best education and advice to his patients. Dr. Charney enjoys watching and playing sports. He is an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants, Golden State Warriors, and San Francisco 49ers. He also appreciates the outdoors, frequently travelling to Tahoe for ski trips in the winter and high elevation hikes in the summer. Dr. Charney looks forward to caring for all your visual needs!
